How to unscramble letters
- Type the letters you have, in any order. Capitals and spaces do not matter.
- Add a ? for each blank tile or unknown letter.
- Press Find words. Results appear instantly, longest words first, with tile points next to each word.
- Open More filters to keep only words that start or end with certain letters, contain a letter group, or have an exact length.
The search runs on your device after the word list loads, so it stays fast even with long racks and several blanks. You can share a search: the page address keeps your letters.
Words with these letters: turn letters into words
Whether you call it unscrambling words, making words from letters or turning letters to words, the job is the same: you have a set of letters and want every real word they spell. Type them above and the unscrambler lists all the words with these letters, grouped by length.
Some letter sets hide several long words. The letters A E L P S T make PALEST, PASTEL, PETALS, PLATES, PLEATS, STAPLE, plus many shorter words.

One unscrambler for every word game
Unscrambling is the same job in most word games, but each game asks a slightly different question. Pick the tool that matches yours:
- Scrabble: the word finder sorts every playable word by points, so the best move is on top.
- Words With Friends: the Words With Friends cheat uses that game's own letter values.
- Daily jumble puzzles: the jumble solver puts answers that use every letter first.
- Anagrams: the anagram solver finds every word made from all of your letters.
- Wordle and other five-letter games: the Wordle solver takes your coloured guesses, and the 5 letter word finder takes the letters you know.
Tips for finding more words
- Look for common endings first: -ING, -ED, -ER, -EST and -S often turn a short word into a long one.
- Try the letters in pairs that often go together, such as TH, CH, SH, QU, ST and CK.
- Short words matter. In board games, two and three letter words let you play alongside other words for extra points. Our list of 2 letter words is worth learning by heart.
- Stuck with a Q? QAT, QAID, QOPH and TRANQ need no U. Otherwise keep your Q until a U shows up.
